What we're doing
Researching student housing in Guelph (especially rent affordability, building conditions, and landlord practices) to capture the issues students face and produce evidence that can lead to better policies and supports.

This project is led by current and recent students. We design research, resources, and events with student renters in mind. Join us to shape tools and advice that actually help student households in Guelph.
How we research
We gather information through short surveys, optional interviews, and public records where available. Participation is anonymous by default; we offer opt-in follow-ups for people who want to be involved further or share documents.
Next steps & resources
We will publish anonymized findings, practical how-tos for students (e.g. requesting repairs, understanding rights), and updates on local actions. We're also exploring the formation of a student tenant union - sign up for updates!
